BJ Buffs

Anni and Boozhoo! My name is BJ Puffs and I am a member of the Ottawa & Chippewa  Tribe of the Grand Traverse Band. I started this life on the Saginaw Chippewa Tribe Reservation. I attended tribal school until I moved to Warren with my family. I have always loved to teach others about my culture and connections back to the soul. I am an empath and understand emotions on a higher frequency. I feel it is my gift to share with the world. Along my journey, I met an 87 year old blind Native man. We shared a peace pipe and drank coffee every morning for two weeks. He taught me the old ways of life during our talks. On the last day of our mornings together he said to me “I know you go by BJ, but that’s just not enough, so you should take my name as my niece, you are now BJ Puffs”.

Cam Winn

Cam Moved to Flint in 2015, during the water crisis. He has been playing drums since he was a little kid. Different bands he was in could never find a drummer, so he would fill in on drums. His passion now is mostly drumming, ancient instruments like jaw harp and overtone flutes, the whole scope of world music and ancient music, aspects of shamanism - such as inducing trance states or meditative states using sound, as well as studying comparative mythology and world religions.
